wow, it's been a while, huh?

so after the whirlwind first quarter with 2 amazing runway shows, and a short break thereafter, i'm back in the saddle!

i have a lookbook in works with the talented folks at studio ROCKET SCIENCE and, not to brag, but guys & gals, it's going to slap you in the face with awesomeness. look for it here in the coming weeks!

also look for bag and accessory restocks at Indie Genius, which are coming soon. AND i'll get my fw13 garb up on etsy for custom orders shortly, so watch for that, too.

well, yomono's momentum this year has been as unstoppable as the tenacious texas armadillo! enjoy the visual. you're welcome.

so Fashion Cited was a big success! pictures to follow. the venue was amazing, complete with an airplane suspended above the stage, and i networked with a lot of other unbelievably talented local designers. not to mention the gorgeous models who breathed life into my collection on the runway. thanks, ladies!

in other news, i've been awarded a grant from The Pin Show! i'm giddy with excitement, and i can't wait to drop my ready-to-wear collection for FW12. stay tuned for more custom corset and dress listings on my etsy shop, and some great summer garb at IndieGenius.

also, make sure you watch for my feature in the may issue of D Magazine! yet another honor by which i am extremely humbled.

and the Urban Bazaar is coming up next month at IndieGenius, so don't miss that! trust me, you will regret it if you don't stop by. i'm there as a seller and i still can't walk away without buying something.

holiday crafting adventures - part IV

wow. what a crazy couple of days. so i'm jetting around town today in my massive nissan xterra (in comparison to my cute little versa, anyhow) and it's shaping up to be a 100-mile-per-hour day. i'm just finishing up here at IndieGenius, and then i'm off to Art is Art for Gift Fest! mark a few more things off my list:

+ print business cards / hangtags
+ finish 10 more gloves
+ sew 6 bags (well, more like 3 supplemented with some other stock)
+ tag and price everything (doing it as we speak, so i feel justified in marking it off)

yomono at gift fest

ART is ART, a fantastic boutique in the knox/henderson area, is hosting a holiday trunk show! join us for Gift Fest on sunday, dec. 4 from 1-4pm. this event features three artists: yomono, vintage dreamz, and jewel rehab. so cross a few things off your list from these local artisans. not to mention all of the other unique items they have...art, furniture, purses, jewelry, and a wonderland of vintage kitchenware. it's a simple step toward a low-impact, responsible holiday.

i'll be there in person, peddling my wares during the event. namely organic cotton gloves and purses made from vintage fabrics.
